Safaris

Safari meaning ‘journey’ in Swahili, stirs up images of a savanna landscape teeming with wildlife, relaxing outside ones tent while being served a sun-downer around a crackling fire, watching elephants peacefully meander with Mt. Kilimanjaro as the backdrop, meeting Maasai warriors along the dirt track and much, much more. Let us take you there…

We offer you the opportunity to visit the Africa, people only think of in their dreams. In conjunction with our hand selected destinations and hosts we reveal to you a side of East Africa that the majority do not even know still exists. With private access into many areas and destinations, we can offer an insight into the authentic East Africa.

Allow us to take you to our favorite undiscovered private destinations where you’ll experience fantastic
‘forever memories’.

Our goal is to tailor the safari to your specific interests, travel schedule, local wildlife concentrations, and seasonal weather patterns. As our private guests, we will be happy to alter and customize the itinerary once we’ve identified your preferences and wishes.

Located in the South East of the world re-knowned Maasai Mara and bordering the Serengeti and Loliondo reserves, the camp is within a 22,000 acre exclusive concession. This 1920’s camp experience returns to the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’, reminiscent of a golden bygone era, an era of romance, adventure and elegance. Here, one will experience the ultimate in personalised service and guiding.

ACCOMODATION

The camp accommodates up to 16 guests in authentic, spacious white canvas tents. The camp has eight tents, each with a canopied verandah and carefully arranged to ensure privacy. Each tent is luxuriously furnished with safari antiques from the 1920’s, private ensuite dressing rooms/bathrooms, showers and flush toilets. The camp is equipped with a tented library/reading room and the cuisine and silver service is of the highest standard to be found in the bush.

Each tent has its own private butler.

EXPERIENCE

Calvin and Louise Cottar reside at the camp and are complimented by highly experienced and knowledgeable guides. Calvin and his team will take you on walks through the bush to experience close encounters with wildlife. Being close to the border with the Serengeti, the spectacular wildebeest migration moves through this area every year and prolific game viewing is guaranteed whether on foot or in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

For those who find themselves hooked on Africa, there comes a time when they want something different, something remote and wild … not every guide can take you there.
MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

With huge grazing herds, attendant predators including Africa’s largest population of Lions, Elephant, Buffalo and bountiful birdlife, the Mara is the staging ground for the annual Wildebeest Great Migration – awesome river crossings and endless processions of moving animals – making it truly one of the natural wonders of the world!
